My creative approach emerges from the intersection of professional development and personal memory.
Through my years as an architectural designer, I developed a deep awareness of how the spaces, surfaces, and objects we encounter every day shape our perception of the world. This experience also cultivated my appreciation for simplicity, restraint, and minimalism as ways of allowing form, material, and presence to speak quietly and deeply.
Meanwhile, my personal experiences living across the Pacific Northwest have also shaped my visual and tactile language. The region’s landscapes and materials deepened my appreciation for natural texture, richness, and organic complexity.
Together, these influences have evolved into a continuous exploration of balance: between simplicity and natural complexity, form and formlessness, stillness and vitality. I create ceramic vessels and sculptural objects that honour imperfection, impermanence, and the quiet beauty of raw simplicity.
